ELECTORAL BOUNDARIES.
STATEMENT BY HON. T. MACKENZIE. (Per Press Association.) Dunedin, August 1. Speaking to-night at a complimentary social tendered to him at Green Island by his constituents, the Hon. T. Mackenzie referred to a statement which appeared in the press relative to information being obtained about the decisions of the Boundary Commissioner:’. by Cabinet Ministers, who used it for electioneering purposes, and gave it a most emphatic denial. It was to be deplored, he said, that almost every -move they made was converted into something dishonouraide. He was sure that tho country was sick and tired of the expense and distortion caused by the rearrange- \ mont of constituencies. Tho question of community of interest was entirely done away with, because the Commissioners had to fi:: thtir boundaries on T such narrow margins of population. The country was tired of tho system, and the sooner it was .rectified the better. ,
