(Per Press Association.) Palmerston North, July 24. Arthur Harold Bunn, solicitor in (be employ of Ales ns. Hell, Gully and Cooper's .Palmerston office, pleaded guilty at the S.M. Court this morning k< the theft of sums totalling £223 10c (id from his • employers. Tuere were between 400 and 500 instances of theft, which extended from November, 1909, till July, 1911. Accused, who was admitted a solicitor in Juno hist, had charge of the firm’s Court work. He was committed for sentence to eiio Supreme Court at Wellington.

(Per, Press Association.) Hawcra, July 21. A party of Havrora rem-karts— Messrs. P. O’Oca, R. Brownie, E. P. Cox, and B. Joyce—left town on Saturday for Dawson Falls, with the intention of making an ascent of Mount Egmont. A start was made from tiie Mountain House at 8.30 arm., in pouring rain, but when the putty got through the clouds at an elevation of 5000 feet, they found the summit bathed in sunshine.
