(For Press Association i Christchurch, July 19. The recent delayed burial was referred to at the meeting of tho Hospital Board this morning, when the Hospital Committee reported as follows: “A regrettable incident in that by pure oversight the corpse of a patient remained unburied for several days must bo noted, but tho committee investigated the matter and there is no reason to apprehend any suclx case in the future.” The Board adopted the clause of the report without discussion. Dunedin, July 19. It is said that the unemployed in Dunedin number about 30. A wire was sent to the Hon. 11. McKenzie asking if twenty men could he found employment in the construction of the bridge-at Taieri mouth, to which the Minister has replied that lie is making necessary inquiries. Wanganui, duly 19. An earthquake shock was felt hero at 9.30 this evening. Palmerston North, July 19. A shock of earthquake was felt here at 9.30 this evening. Wanganui, July 19. Dr. Jas. Reid, of the Wanganui Hospital, reported to the Hospital Board to-day that lie had cured by means of X-rays a case of skin cancer. The cancer in question was on the face. Ho has at present a move serious case under treatment, and it is getting on well. Groymouth, July 19. At a largely attended meeting of the Chamber of Commerce to-night it was decided to ask all the Chambers of Commerce in the Dominion to urge upon Parliament to appoint a commission to inquire into the sugar combine which is now in force.
