FROZEN - MEAT TRADE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company. Ltd., has received the following cablegram from its London house, under date 9th instant:—“The market is slightly better for mutton, and there is an increasing consumptive demand Tv.* lamb. The beef market is easier. ’’ STRATFORD WOOL, SKIN, HIDE, AND TALLOW SALE. YOUNG, HOBBS AND CO.’S REPORT. On Tuesday, Gtli inst., wo held our four-weekly sale of above produce before a representative attendance of buyers. The catalogue comprised ■ One fudge 28 bags wool, 133 sheepskins, 189 hides, 143 calfskins, 1 cask, 27 tins tallow. Bidding for all lines, except tallow which declined up to £2 lOs per ton, was spirited, hides and sheepskins commanding ready sale at advanced rates. Wool values were about tno same as those ruling the previous month. We quote :- Wool.—(In bags) fleece sd.
