KOHURATAHI NOTES.
(Fran Or.v Own Correspondent.) r i’hc contractors for I’ve overtion of the s.alc.vards at Kohnratahi arc making good progress. I believe the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency intend holding their first sale very soon, and from all accounts it will be w: 11 attended, as the settlers appreciate the. firm’s enterprise. A hi]ihrd-room is being built at N'olmratahi to the order of Messrs McCartie Bros., also a blacksmith’s shop for Mr Harry CJ ill. Permitted, I might- mention that there are other ' outomplated improvements and additions to the township. However, the above will indicate that Kolmratahi 1 is getting more like London every day. As your readers prohahlv know, many people competent to judge, express the opinion that this place is going to lie the great inland city of the new line. It certainly has outstanding advantages over Whangamomona in the way of the country being loved enough to accommodate a big town; and then quite a number of roads tapping large areas of hack countrv converge at Kohnre.Labi.
