'I no hairdressing saloon is nttod up witn toe very latest ideas in every way. There are at present two chairs, but room has boeh left lor the installation of another if found necessary. Tno two chairs are worked on the" hydraulic principle, and can lie raised or inclined at the exact angle to suit each patron. The minor stand is an elaborate affair, and juig boon specially imported. It is fitted with
spring drawers towels and sundries, and has a highly ornamental appearance. All the appliances arc ■r/f tho most up to-date order, and there is a hot watci urn, which, in addition to supplying hot water, has compartments in which towels, razors, etc., can bo sterilised. At an early date there will arrive a special, cabinet fo; sterilising utensils. The saloon is provided with a line settee, which was manufactured by Messrs. Brocklcbank Bros. Mr. Sherlock, lately with Mr. T. Mercer, will be in charge of tho saloon. Mr. James has also increased tho '■.ire of his stationery depaitincnt by running the shop further back, and more room is also provided by reason of the tobacconist stock being moved to tho new shop.
