(From an Occasional Correspondent.) Tho School Committee hold a social and dance in the schoolroom on Friday, May 12th, to formally open tho new school and raise hinds lor tlio erection of a shelter for the children. Tho event passed off very successfully, and there is about £5 in hand which, together with a subsidy from the. Board, will materially help towards a suitable shelter. To those who so kindly assisted, tho thanks of the committee arc due, and with another social which is intended to bo held in a month’s time, in the Public Hail, funds should allow of the shelter being erected before tho winter sets in.
