BIRTHS, DEATHS AND MARRIAGES
STATISTICS FOR QUARTER
The number of births registered at Invercargill during the three-monthly period which ends today was slightly lower than the number registered during the same period last year. More deaths were recorded during the quarter and the number of marriages showed a slight increase. Fewer births were registered during September compared with the same month last year. The number of deaths decreased by one and there were two more marriages. The figures for the third quarter of this year and for the month of September, together with the figures for the same periods of the previous year, are as follows:—
