PASSENGER SERVICE LICENCES
RENEWALS GRANTED BY NO. 4 AUTHORITY
Applications for renewals of passenger service licences were heard by the No. 4 Transport Licensing Authority (Mr S. V. Raines) in Invercargill yesterday. The following renewals were granted:
P. T. Burns (Wyndham), passenger and taxi-cab service licences; J. E. Cocklin and G. E. Maltby (Invercargill); D. W. H. Harvey (Invercargill), renewal of licence and amendment; L. C. Thompson (Invercargill), renewal and amendment; A. G. Weavers (Makarewa), renewal and amendment; H. Mclntosh (Winton); F. Thompson (Tuatapere); T. W. Craig (Riverton), renewal and amendment on one application and renewal of contract licence on another; Southland News Company, Limited, for the following routes: In-vercargill-Papatotara, InvercargillDipton, Invercargill-Gore, Invercar-gill-Waitane, Invercargill-Wyndham, Invercargill-Waikawa, contract granted; G. G. Webb (Invercargill) two applications; H. & H. Motors, Ltd., Inver-cargill-Milford Sound road, Invercar-gill-Motuku, renewal and amendment, Invercargill-Riverton Rocks, Invercar-gill-Otautau, Invercargill-Ohai, Inver-cargill-Waikawa, Invercargill-Tuata-pere, Invercargill Waimahaka (renewal granted, fares reserved); InvercargillBluff, licence and contract granted; V. Mathieson (Invercargill); Railways Department, Lumsden-Matuku, Invercar-gill-Milford Sound road, InvercargillQueenstown, Garston-In vercargill; R. C. McLellan (Nightcaps); T. C. Orr (Invercargill) two licences; Robertsons Ltd. (Colac Bay) renewal granted, fares reserved; Southland Hospital Board, renewal granted, ambulances increased to five.
