LORNE-RIVERTON HIGHWAY
The Main Highways Board has agreed to the sealing of a length of seven miles and 14 chains on the DorneRiverton State highway that was recently reconstructed. A letter was received from the board at last night’s meeting of the Automobile Association (Southland), stating that the association’s representations were considered by the board at its meeting on February 5. The necessary instructions about the start of the work had been issued to the board’s representative at Invercargill. Members expressed satisfaction that the board had agreed to the sealing of this length of highway.
