A War Councillor and a former Minister of the Navy Admiral _ Mineo Osumi was apparently killed in an aeroplane crash in South China on Wednesday during an inspection tour of the Navy. It is announced that searching planes on Thursday discovered the plane crashed on the Huancyanshan Mountain, near the Sikiang river. There were ten aboard the plane, including, beside Admiral Osumi, Rear-Admiral Hikojiro Suga, three other officers and four members of the crew. A rescue party reached the wreckage but were refused further information. CHINESE VERSION A later message from Chungking says that documents revealing that Admiral Osumi. ■ accompanied by his staff, was proceeding to Hainan to assume the post of commander-in-chief of the joint fleet in the South Seas, were seized by the Chinese when his aeroplane was shot down by Chinese guerrillas near Chungshan. Altogether nine bodies were found in the plane, including those of Admiral Osumi, Rear-Admiral Suaga and three commanders.
