WELCOME HOME SOCIAL AT MORTON MAINS

' The residents of Morton Mains gathered in- Mr N. Jefferis’s barn last week to welcome home Mr and Mrs T. Blackmore, who were recently married. Music was supplied by Messrs Sinclair, Mallock, F. Kerr and Misses Morton and Drysdale. Mr D. Warnock was master of ceremonies.

On behalf of the Seaward Downs Football Club, Mr McKenzie presented the guests of honour with a crystal goblet set and Mr Morton, on behalf of the district, with a hanging mirror and firescreen.

Mr T. Blackmore replied. Mr Jefferis was thanked for the use of his barn.
