TENTH BIRTHDAY PARTY AT MORTON MAINS

Recently the Morton Mains branch of the Women’s Division celebrated its tenth birthday. Visitors of other branches were present from Woodlands, Hedgehope and Mokotua. Items were given by the following: Women’s Division song by W.D.F.U. members; playette, Mrs Falconer and Miss Withington; vocal duet, Mrs Edie and Mr A. McFadyen; vocal solos, Mrs Robertson, Miss E. Sheat, Messrs A. McFadyen and A. Sutherland; quartette and choir numbers by members of the singing class. Music for the dancing was supplied by Mrs Halliday, Messrs F. Kerr, Sinclair and N. Sutherland. Mr Robertson was master of ceremonies. The president, Mrs Jefferis, spoke briefly and called on Mrs Sanderson Hedgehope, Mrs McKinnell, Woodlands, and Mrs Munro, Mokotua, who extended greetings from their respective branches. Congratulatory letters were received from the Roslyn Bush and Rimu branches.
