DRAW FOR GOLF MATCH AT WINTON
The draw for a sealed hole and Avon trophy match, to be played by both divisions of the women at the Winton golf links on Wednesday, is as follows: First division. —Mrs O. A. B. Smith v. Mrs W. Clark, Miss I. Shand v. Mrs J. Kilby, Mrs W. Balch v. Mrs W. Brandford, Mrs R. King v. Miss M. Tilley, Miss G. Homer v. Miss M. King. Second divisioh.—Miss M. Thomson v. Mrs J. de la Perrelle, Miss I. McIndoe v. Miss S. Norman, Mrs J. T. Shaw v. Mrs M. Kean, Miss E. Norman v. Miss J. Horner, Miss J. Brumby, a bye. Both matches are to be played in conjunction with the competition for the A. E. Smith trophy. The result of the L.G.U. match played
by the first division was as follows: — Mrs C. Lindsay 106-28-78; Miss June Horner 108-29-79; Mrs O. A. B. Smith 102-21-81. Mrs Lindsay qualified for the Avon trophy. A stroke match played by the second division resulted in a win for Miss Mclndoe, with a score of 112-36-76. Miss S. Norman and Miss Thomson tied for second, both scores being 125-36-89.
