PORT OF AUCKLAND REMAINS CLOSED

AUCKLAND, June 24. On the instructions of the Naval Department the port of Auckland remained closed today to all vessels above 500 tons. It was closed first on Sunday at 2.45 p.m. and cannot be regarded as being open again until the appropriate signal from Mount Victoria has been lowered.
