CASUALTY LIST

MASTERTON PILOT MISSING (United Press Association) , WELLINGTON, June 24. The following official casualty list was issued today:— Pilot Officer Clive Robinson Wylie, previously reported wounded, now reported missing. His mother is Mrs D. G. Wylie, of 73 South road, Masterton. Company Sergeant-Major C. Whittet, Ist Battalion, Royal Scots, reported missing. His next-of-kin is Miss M. Whittet, of 46 Pine Hill Terrace, Dunedin. N.Z. PILOT PRISONER OF WAR (United Press Association) AUCKLAND. June 24. Pilot Officer Henry Maeale Murray, a New Zealand member of the Royal Air Force, who was reported' missing as a result of air operations on May 11, is a prisoner of war. Advice to this effect was received from the Air Ministry by Mr F. M. Murray, of Auckland, a brother of the missing airman. His sister, Mrs Buckeridge, wife of Flight Lieutenant J. M. Buckeridge, acting Controller of Civil Aviation, Wellington, was also advised. Pilot Officer Murray celebrated his twentieth birthday today. He was born in Dunedin and educated at the Wellington College, Otago Boys’ High School and the Wairarapa High School. Later he resided for 18 months in Auckland before leaving for London where he arrived in June 1938. He joined the Royal Air Force and gained flying experience at various training bases in Britain and France before the outbreak of war.
