BOOKMAKING CHARGES

(United Press Association) WHANGAREI, December 4. Charles Schon was fined £lOO today on a charge of bookmaking. The police said the defendant had contributed £520 to revenue in the shape of fines for this offence since 1930. Keith Edwards Schon, a clerk, was fined £5 and £lO costs. Ralph Shaw was fined £2 for being found on the premises. Andrew Vicko was fined £7 for bookmaking at Maungaturoto.
