TE RANGI LADIES’ BOWLING CLUB

SEASON OPENED IN IDEAL WEATHER

The official opening of the Te Rangi Ladies’ Bowling Club was held on Tuesday in ideal weather. The president (Mrs Streatfield) welcomed the large number of members and visitors, and asked the Mayoress (Mrs J. R. Hanan) to declare the green open and roll the first bowl. An enjoyable game was played, after which afternoon tea was served.

Mrs Cowie (Southland), Mrs McFadgein (Invercargill), Mrs Churton (Waikiwi) and Mrs Wishart (Bluff) thanked the club for its hospitality, and wished it a pleasant and successful season. Mrs Streatfield replied on behalf of the members.
