TODAY’S RECIPE
VEGETABLES EN CASSEROLE 6 potatoes. 1 turnip. 1 cup peas. i cup rice. 1 teaspoon salt. 4 cups (2 pints) stock. Pepper and allspice. 1 onion.
Wash, pare and dice vegetables in half inch cubes. Wash rice. Put ingredients in layers in a casserole or baking dish. Add the stock. Cover with a lid and bake slowly for three hours. Other vegetables may be substituted for those mentioned here. SARAH.
