GOOD PLAYING SEASON IN 1938 BRITANNIA CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING “The 1938 season, although quite a good one from the playing point of view, was not so good financially,” stated the annual report of the Britannia Badminton Club presented at the annual meeting last night. “A number of friendly games was played with teams from outside districts and these matches proved most enjoyable,” the report continued. “The club was well represented at the provincial championships and the following title-winners are to be congratulated on their success: Women’s singles, Mrs E. Salisbury; women’s doubles, Mrs Salisbury and Miss Ronald; mixed doubles, Mrs Salisbury and S. Glennie; mixed handicap doubles, A. Alcorn and Miss Barrett. S. Glennie was runner-up in the men’s singles. Mrs Salisbury, Messrs Glennie and W.
