NAZIS IN CONTROL OF WAGES
FIXING OF MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM STANDARDS LONDON, June 28. Supplementing the recent labour conscription decree, the German Government has taken control of all wages, establishing minimum and maximum standards and supervising working conditions in order, by levelling wages, to overcome the difficulty of manning State projects when private rates of pay exceed State rates, says the Berlin correspondent of The Times. Labour may be compulsorily enlisted, but this is not at present contemplated because of the possibility of antagonizing public opinion.
