POWER NOT RATIONED IN CITY

LITTLE PROSPECT OF RAIN AT MONOWAI t The city suburbs had an uninterrupted supply of electric power last night except for street lighting which was still not available in any part of Invercargill except along the tramway route. The city steam plant was in operation again after the week-end during which it had not # been required., The supply available to the city area from Monowai was sufficient to make restrictions unnecessary. The position at Monowai was reported last night to be unchanged, there being no alteration in the level of the lake. The weather at the headworks was fine and clear yesterday with little prospect of immediate rain last night.
