FRUIT CAKE 8 ounces butter. 8 ounces sugar. 4 eggs. i teaspoon vanilla, teaspoon rose essence. J teaspoon almond essence. 2 tablespoons glycerine. 2 tablespoons raspberry jam. 12 ounces flour. 2 teaspoons baking powder. 8 ounces seeded raisins. 8 ounces seedless raisins. 8 ounces dates. 3 ounces ground almonds. 3 ounces cherries. 4 ounces sultanas. 3 ounces ginger. 3 ounces almonds. Bake at 350 to 320 degrees F. for three hours. SARAH.
