PROTEST BY OPPONENTS OF LABOUR PARTY (United Press Association) DUNEDIN, December 7. The resignation of the PostmasterGeneral (the Hon. F. Jones) from the Dunedin City Council and the appointment last evening of another member of the Labour Party, Mr Ralph Harrison, to the vacancy, although the elections are to be held next May, spurred the opposition councillors to biting comment on the party’s tactics and the fear of the coming electors’ vote. Labour spokesmen replied that it was following the tactics of the section which had governed in the past and that it was right that Labour should retain its majority.
