INCREASE SHOWN IN SEPTEMBER (British Official Wireless) (Received October 15, 6.30 p.m.) RUGBY, October 14. During September 1906 recruits were approved for the Territorial Atrny. September—a month after the majority of camps—is usually one of little territorial activity and the monthly return in the past has shown a fall in numbers. In the last month, however, for the first time in 12 years the total numbers in the Territorial Army actually rose. The number of recruits approved represents an increase of 22.5 per cent, on the corresponding month of last year. _________
