ROMANY PIE For the filling: 2%0z bacon. 2 small onions. 4 medium-sized tomatoes. 2 and two thirds cups macaroni. 2| cups any cooked vegetable. For the pastry. 4oz flour. 3oz butter. | teaspoon salt. Water to mix. Fry the bacon and chop into small pieces. Slice the onions and fry in a little fat. Slice the tomatoes. Cook the macaroni in boiling, salted water or vegetable stock. Vegetables used in this recipe may include peas, cauliflower, carrots, French beans, beetroot, etc. Place all ingredients in a greased pie-dish. Cover with a layer of pastry. Bake in a hat oven.
