ANTI-COMMUNIST LEGION

Lisbon, September 16.
A decree is being published authorizing the formation of a “Portuguese Legion,” a voluntary army to combat Communism and anarchism.
Portugal has its own defined doctrines, but the people are alarmed at the perils from which other countries are suffering. Twenty thousand have volunteered to form a legion, and the Government has accordingly given the Legion shape.
