Fortrose MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB
Thirty-one members took part in the weekly shoot of the Fortrose Miniature Rifle Club. With only three more shoots for the President’s Cup, interest is growing.
Mr D. W. Stirling won the Southland Sports Depot Cup for the week, with a score of 72—16—78, winning on the count back from Mr J. Stirling, whose score was 68—13—78.

Chisholm, 61—27—78; A. Smith, 61—11—72. WOMEN’S DIVISION The members of the Fortrose branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union held their monthly meeting in the social hall. A letter was received from the secretary tendering her resignation. Mrs J. Macintosh, of Fortrose, was appointed to fill the vacancy. A hidden names competition was won by Mrs A. McEwan. The roll call for the next meeting of the branch will be “The Smells I Like Best.” Mrs C. Christie will be hostess.
