Riverton Notes
Mrs A. Gilchrist is visiting Lawrence. Mrs Nichol, Ohai, is spending a holiday in Riverton. Opportunity was taken by members of the guild and St. Mary’s choir to show their appreciation of Mrs George Stevenson’s long years of service by entertaining her at tea. Afterwards the guild president (Mrs H. J. Walden) eulogized Mrs Stevenson’s work and interest taken in her church. Mrs Hancock, on behalf of the guild, and Mrs Trotter, on behalf of the choir, presented the guests with suitable souvenirs as mementoes of the occasion. The vicar also complimented the guest on her church work.
