Browns Notes
A large crowd assembled in the Browns Hall on Wednesday evening to bid farewell to Mr and Mrs C. Goodall and their family, who are leaving the district to live in Lumsden. The chairman, Mr J. N. West, expressed regret at the departure of the Goodall family. In asking Mr and Mrs Goodall to accept a roll of notes, Mr West wished them success in their new store at Lumsden. Other speakers who endorsed the chairman’s remarks were Messrs E. J. Smith and E. Frisby. Music for the dancing was supplied by Messrs D. R. Brown and J. McMaster. Mr A. Clark, of Winton, sang a song during the evening. Among those present were Mr and Mrs C. Goodall, Mr and Mrs J. McLean, Mr and Mrs J. N. West, Mr and Mrs R. M. Young, Mr and Mrs W.
