Miss Estelle Wilson, of South Hillend, is holidaying at Woodlands. Mrs R. A. Norman, Forest Hill, spent a few days in Invercargill last week as the guest of Miss M. Forrester. Miss Molly O’Neill, of Gore, returned home on Saturday after spending a fortnight’s holiday with Miss K. Boyle, Meldrum street.
Miss M. Clark, of Invercargill, is the guest of Miss E. Norman, Forest Hill. Miss Rona Hamilton, of Browns, was the guest of Miss Norma King, “Tynree,” Benmore, for a few days last week.
Mrs H. Hodges is visiting Riverton. Mrs A. Helm and family, and Mrs McKenzie, of Invercargill, were the guests of Mrs J. T. Butler, Park street, last week.
Mr and Mrs A. B. McDougall and family have returned from a fortnight’s holiday spent at Christchurch. Mrs M. Geary, of Kingston, is the guest of Mrs H. Geary, Durham street. Nurse Hicks, of Mosgiel, is holidaying with her sister, Mrs J. Gunn, East Winton.
Miss C. Dixon, Park street, returned last week from a holiday spent at “the Rocks,” Riverton. Mrs L. Jenkins, of Warepa, is visiting Mrs D. Jenkins, Gap Road. Miss I. Mclndoe, of Forest Hill, has returned from a holiday spent at Bluff. Miss Elza Pierce, McKenzie street, was the week-end guest of Miss Sadie Norman, Forest Hill. Mrs A. Gaut, who has been holidaying with her parents, Mr and Mrs C. D. Moore, East Winton, returned to Wellington last week. Mr and Mrs E. C. Calverly, “Seaview,” Canongate, and Miss M. Calverly, who was bridesmaid at the Blyth-Cooper wedding, have been the guests of Mrs J. C. Cooper, Lochiel. Miss C. Egerton, of Gore, is spending the vacation with her parents, Mr and Mrs Egerton, East Winton. Mr and Mrs I. D.. Jack, of Invercargill, were the guests of Mrs L. Perrelle, Essex street, last week. Mrs Turner, Dunedin, is visiting Mrs W. Brandford, Queen street Mr and Mrs W. Wilson, of Tuatapere, are visiting old friends in the town. Miss Dorothy Walker, Arthur street, has returned from a holiday spent in Timaru and Invercargill.
Mr and Mrs R. N. Wilson and family, who have been the guests of Dr. Moana Gow, returned to Wanganui last week.
Mrs J. P. Anderson, Durham street, has been visiting friends at Wrights Bush.
Miss Lorraine Heads is holidaying wtih her aunt, Mrs G. Heads, Winton.
Miss Nellie Mcllwrick and Miss E. Gerrard are spending a few weeks at Dipton.
Mrs Whyte and family are spending a few days at Hedgehope. Mr and Mrs P. Egerton, of Orepuki, are the guests of Mrs J. Webb.
The Rev. and Mrs W. H. S. Hine are holidaying in Auckland. Mrs A. Kerse, of Milton, visited Winton last week renewing old acquaintances.
Mr and Mrs T. McGillivray and family returned last week from a motor tour in Central Otago.
