Mr and Mrs F. Ashley, Browns, are visiting friends at The Rocks. Miss M. Mamane, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs Leary, Wellington, has returned. Miss B. McKinnon, South Riverton, has returned from a visit to friends in Invercargill. Mrs A. Aitken and family are holidaying in Dunedin. Mrs and Miss Smart, of Wanganui, are visiting friends in the south. Miss Church is spending a holiday at Fortrose.
Miss L. Joyce is visiting her brother, Mr James Joyce, Hamilton. Mr and Mrs E. H. McLean and family, of Invercargill, have returned home after spending an enjoyable holiday at Taramea House, The Rocks. At the bowling tournament last week the ladies were well represented. Pankhurst M Wyndham, and family, are holidaying at The Mrs Scott and child, who have been
staying at the Globe Hotel, have returned to Gore,

Mrs D. McPherson (nee Fallow) and family, Waianiwa, are holidaying at The Rocks.

Miss Swap, of Auckland, is looking up old friends at the seaside.
Mr and Mrs T. Borland have returned from a holiday spent at Queenstown.
Mrs Stuckey, St. Clair, Dunedin, is the guest of Mrs E. Hunter, Shrewsbury street.
Mrs Brass, Invercargill, is visiting Mrs I. Gilchrist, South Riverton. At St. Andrew’s Church, Gore, on Tuesday, Mr W. E. Watson, youngest son of Mr and Mrs S. Watson, “Kentail,” was married to Miss Agnes Teresa, youngest 'daughter of Mr T. Lamb, of Wendon Valley. Staying at Beach House, Riverton Rocks, is the following list of visitors: Miss Birss and two of Mr and Mrs Doherty’s children, Winton; Mrs Gellately and children, Invercargill; Mr Brewster and little daughter, Oreti; Miss Anderson, Kauana: Mr G. King, Benmore; Mrs Hubber and little son, Oreti; Mrs Wilkinson and two daughters, Green Island; Miss Westland, Dunedin; Mrs Torrance and daughter, Invercargill; Mrs and Miss Wyllie, Gore; Mrs Pinckney and two little sons, Waikaia; Mrs Herron and two young daughters, Pukerau; Mrs J. M. Watson and little daughter, Invercargill; Mr and Mrs White and family, Otama; Mrs Macdonald and little daughter, Tapanui; Mr and Mrs Rewcastle and daughter, Dunedin. Mr and Mrs Fossey, New Plymouth, are the guests of Dr. and Mrs E. S. Fossey. Mrs T. Bulman and family, Invercargill, are at the seaside. Miss Stevenson entertained the croquet members to a very enjoyable competition at Aparima green on Wednesday. Mesdames Green and Cloughley were the winners of the competitions.
Matron Gidney, of the Wallace Hospital, has left on her annual ' holidays, which will be spent in the north. Miss Roban, who has been the guest of Mr and Mrs W. G. Smith, has returned north.
Mrs O. D. Jamieson, Winton, is holidaying at The Rocks. Mrs Dodds and family, Tuatapere, are spending a holiday at The Rocks. Mrs Basstian, of Invercargill, is the guest of Mr and Mrs L. Raymond, The Rocks.
Mr'and Mrs G. Saxelby have returned to Otautau after a pleasant holiday at the seaside. Mr and Mrs A. Stevens leave this week for Waikiwi, where they will take up residence. Mrs S. Learmont, of Gore, is down for the Gummies Bush school jubilee which takes place this week. Mrs Laffey and Miss Dorothy Laffey, Invercargill, are visiting Mr and Mrs G. Keeler. Miss Perrin, Invercargill, is the guest of her sister, Mrs A. Evans, The Cliffs, South Riverton. Mr and Mrs J. A. MacKinnon, Mrs A. T. Hogg and the Misses MacKinnon (4) journeyed to Invercargill on Wednesday last to attend the Torrance—Rodger wedding. Mrs W. S. Brown, Gropers Bush, Mrs D. F. MacLeod and the Misses MacLeod (2), Hokonui, were the guests of Mrs A. L. Hogg during the week. Mrs Chilton and family, Drummond, are the guests of Mrs Wohlers, South Riverton. The Rev. Mr Fordyce and family were the guests of Mrs F. Calder, South Riverton, during the week.
