A wedding of district interest was solemnized at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Gore, on January 16 at 5.30 p.m. the contracting parties being Anne Elizabeth, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. McAngus, Wigan street, Gore, and James, eldest, son of Mrs and the late Mr Thomas Logan, of “Mossdale,” Otama. The church had been tastefully decorated for the occasion by girl friends of the bride and the ceremony was performed by the Rev. F. M. Beattie. Entering the church on the arm of her father, the bride looked charming in a dainty shell pink ankle length frock of sand crepe trimmed at the shoulder line and hem with frills, while her hat, shoes and gloves toned with her ensemble. She was attended by Miss Annie Logan, sister of the bridegroom, as bridesmaid, who wore an ice blue crepe moya frock coatee, with hat and shoes to match. Both bride and bridesmaid carried bouquets the blooms of which harmonized with the frocking. Mr William Logan, supported his brother in the capacity of best man.

After the ceremony the guests adjourned to the Cosy Tea Rooms where they were received by Mrs McAngus and Mrs Lees (sister of the bridegroom), the former wearing a black and white and the latter a brown ensemble, while each carried posies of roses and maiden hair fern. During the wedding breakfast the usual toast list was honoured. Subsequently Mr and Mrs Logan, who were the recipients of numerous and costly presents, left per motor for a tour in Otago, the bride travelling in a cherry coloured frock, grey coat and hat and python shoes. Their future home will be at Otama.
