ARCTIC AIR ROUTE
BASES BEING EXPLORED. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7.10 p.m.) London, July 17. Sir Ernest Shackleton’s son Edward and five companions leave to-morrow in the sealer Signal Hom (107 tons) to explore Ellesmere Land in the Arctic, chiefly with the object of establishing bases for a future American-European air route.
