RECOVERY FAIR

SALVATION- ARMY. An advertisement appears in this issue drawing attention to the Recovery Fair to be held at the Salvation Army Citadel on August 8, 9 and 10, the proceeds going to assist the local work. There will be programmes and competitions and numerous stalls. Prizes will be given for the best dressed doll, the best 15 paper flowers and the best article made from sugar bags, and there will also be mouth organ solo contests and a whistling competition, also a baby show. A gas baking exhibition will be given. There will also be a tradesmen’s display.
