SOVEREIGNS WORTH 38/2. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Sydney, September 26. The current price of gold in Australia is the highest on record. The prices fixed by the Commonwealth Bank for gold received for the week ended September 22 were £7 10/2 per standard ounce and £8 3/- per fine ounce. Sovereigns are quoted at 38/2. This is also the highest price on record.
