MR LANG TOO LATE
PETITION TO THE KING. (United Press Assn—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 11.50 p.m.) Sydney, September 26. It was announced in the. Legislative Assembly to-night that the Royal assent had been given to the Legislative Council Elections Act which provides the machinery for electing members to the reformed Council. Thus Mr J. T. Lang’s recent petition to the King to delay assent is of no avail.
