THE CHURCHES

SPACE IN NEWSPAPERS.

It would pay most churches to take regular space in their local journals provided the job of filling the space was left to a qualified man, said Mr F. Washington Flatt, advertisement manager of the Nursery World (London) to a men’s meeting at a London suburban Wesleyan Methodist Church recently. “Very soon the fusion of the Methodist Churches will be an accomplished fact, and the occasion provides a unique opportunity for putting advertising to the test. Let them combine and buy a front page in one of the national newspapers. ... At the foot of the page I would even provide a sort of coupon. ‘To the Minister. I would like you to call on me on such and such a date.’”
