UNDESIRABLE RUSSIANS
QUESTION OF DEPORTATION. (Rec. 11.15 p.m.) London, November 22. Tho Homo Secretary Mr J. R. Clynes, informed a questioner in the House of Commons that since 1924 there had been 70 cases in which it had been impossible to « secure the deportation of undesirable Russians. It was the practice to limit these peoples’ activities in Britain. The recent Anglo-Russian agreement did not deal with the subject, but the presence of the Soviet Ambassador in London would doubtless facilitate the investigation of Russians’ activities. Earl Winterton: Won’t Russians recommended for deportation be deported when the Anglo-Russian agreement operates?
Mr Clynes: Many of these cases will bo considered.
