LATIN FOR ARABIC
SUBSTITUTION IN ANGORA. Constantinople, November 1. The Angora Assembly passed a Bill substituting Latin for Arabic characters from January 1 for public departments. Private individuals may write applications and petitions in Arabic until June. Ships signs, street names and hoarding advertisements, also the newspapers must be Latinized by December, and new books by January.— United Servcie.
