CRIBBAGE MATCH. (From Our Correspondent.) A cribbage match was played on Tuesday evening between Riverton and Thornbury Clubs, and resulted in a win for Riverton by 10 games, the scores being: Riverton 32; Thornbury 22. Following are the results (Riverton names appearing first): — R. Taylor and E. Richardson 3 v. J. Haywood and James Hamilton 6. J. Stirling and S. Eade 6 v. W. Brown and J. Hamilton 3. J. Milligan and C. Trow 7 v. A. Molloy and C. Eadie 2. W. Stirling and J. Saunders 5 v. W. Hamilton and W. Haywood 4. W. McMurtrie and Hawke 3 v. W. Foster and A. Miller 6. F. Rouse and H. Guest 8 v. J. Henderson and P. Molloy 1. FOOTBALL. On Saturday, Riverton seniors meet Orawia at Riverton. The following will represent the local team:—McNaughton, Davis, J. Foster, Agnew, C. Bec-r, McGregor, Mills, Lockett, Riddle, Fleck, Trotter, C. Foster, Edie, J. Beer and Dennis. On Wednesday the Riverton juniors journeyed to Orawia to meet the team there. The home team made it a willing go from the start and, being a heavier and faster combination, put up a score of 35 points to Riverton’s nil. MEMORIAL PRIZES. At the Riverton Presbyterian Church, the Rev. J. Fordyce presented the Charlie Thomson Memorial prize for scripture knowledge. The awards were made after an examination on a year’s work in the Sabbath School. The following were the winners: Connie Borland, Graham Finlayson, Frank Helm, Douglas Cassels, Graham Wilson, Gordon Patrick, Allan Patrick, Colin Cassels, Audrey Finlayson, Nancy Wilson, Nancy Robertson, Runagh Robertson, Rita Walker and Mary Patrick. HOCKEY MATCH. A mateh was played at Drummond on Wednesday between the home team and Riverton. The visitors were not evidently up to form and were defeated by 5 goals to nil.
