THE BENALLA MYSTERY

MISS ENWRIGHTS DEATH. THE POLICE SEARCH. (By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) MELBOURNE, September 11. Miss Enwright, who was found murdered on her farm at Benalla, was last seen alive on July 27, when, after a visit to Yachandandah, she was driven by a neighbour to within 100 yards of her house. When the neighbours forced an entrance to the house they found that the bed had not been made, and that the clothes usually worn by Miss Enwright when she way away from home were in her bedroom.

The farm was badly neglected, and it is not thought possible that the unfortunate woman could have possessed much means. The police are endeavouring to find the person who was seen speaking to the woman on July 27.
