The Goulburn district is being terrorised by an incendiarist, who has been responsible for a number of destructive fires. The whole countryside has been thrown into a state of excitement and a large posse of police with a black tracker are searching for the man who was seen making for the bush. Later. The terror created at Goulburn by the desperado is at fever heat. The whole district is up in arms assisting the police in their search. The latest report is that a man named Alfred Smith, while mustering sheep, was shot in the head, being badly wounded, by an unknown man, supposedly the hunted man, who immediately made off into the bush.
