(Received February 13, 11 p.m.) A widower named Joseph Quinlan was found dead in bed at Orange with his head frightfully battered in with a blunt instrument. Quinlan slept alone in a shed adjoining the house of his parents with whom he and his four children lived. The crime was discovered by one of the children going to call *him. He was apparently killed while sleeping. The police here detained a suspect.
