SOUTHLAND MOTOR ASSOCIATION.
To the Editor. Sir,—Replying tq “Traveller,” we are always grateful to hear valuable suggestions, and would advise your correspondent to write to the Association direct. With reference to the mileages, much depends where the distances are calculated, i.e., from point to point, and the Association is always pleased to receive authentic mileages recorded by motorists for given distances. A blow lamp, a scraper and a few drops of paint for a few moments, will soon rectify errors, if any, but we hope “Traveller” is a good solid member of the Association and is using his best energy to obtain new members, as many more danger and direct signs are required in all parts of the province. I am, etc., JOHN E. WINSLOEj
