THE WELLINGTON RAID. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 18. As a result of a raid at a pakapoo shop in Haining street on Saturday afternoon, Ngau Chong was arrested for being the keeper of a common gaming house and Chow Dick, Ah Choy, Ah‘Sung, John Smelbridge, William Birch, James Dawson and Theodore Dawson, for being found in a common gaming house. In the Court today the Chinamen and Smellridge were remanded to Friday. and the others were fined forty shillings’ each.
