ECONOMY

Years ago I found that the only way to sell merchandise at a saving to my customers was to practice rigid economy. So I began saving, pieces of twine, heavy wrapping paper, studied carefully how to wrap packages, with the least waste paper, and still making an attractive package. I even saved pins, to inculcate thrift in my employees, knowing all the while that whatever was thus saved I could take off the selling price to my customers. Thus was founded the basis of our reputation for actually selling at a lower price than generally prevailed. This same spirit of economy has been continued. Unnecessary waste has been practically eliminated here. The result, of course, is that out cost of doing business is less by reason of these economies. I thank you, JOHN SMITH. .
