CORRESPONDENCE

DANGEROUS MOTORISTS. To the Editor, Sir, —In regard to motor traffic the Town Council are woefully negligent and lax in their responsibility by not seeing the bylaws properly enforced. The public have a right to be protected from this most dangerous practice. I have had some very narrow escapes from serious accidents. Why should a few selfish and reckless motorists wish to boss the road ? If the penalty was loss of license, or license suspended for three months, and on second offence, twelve months’ suspension, it would soon have the desired effect. Trusting the authorities will get to work without delay. —I am, etc., CITIZEN. Invercargill, Sept. 4.
