REPORTERS SHUT OUT. By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright. MELBOURNE, April 29. The Premiers' Conference has opened. The speeches urged the necessity of a conciliatory spirit towards the Commonwealth. It was decided to postpone consideration of financial questions till next week, when the Federal proposals will be ready.
Mr Bent was elected president. The press was excluded.
