Messrs F. G. Stone,JH. Bastings and C. S. Longuet have been nominated for the Invercargill mayoralty. Mr Feld wick has been returned unopposed as mayor of Avenal, Mr Reed for Campbelltown, Mr J. A. Mitchell for East Invercargill, Mr C. D. Moore for Winton. Messrs A. J. Garmson and A. Blomfield have been nominated for the mayoralty of North Invercargill and Messrs H. Cameron and T. MacGibbon for that of Mataura.
